How to configure the Gmail as SMTP server

In order to configure a Gmail account as SMTP server follow these steps:

Create a Gmail account here.

Next, you will need to enable the Gmail setting called “Enable 2-step verification” by going here:

https://accounts.google.com/SmsAuthConfig

Once you have enabled that setting go to your Gmail -> Account -> Dashboard -> Authorize Account Access and then follow this video tutorial to create a “application-specific password”.

1) "Send Mail Method" change it to be "SMTP"

2) SMTP Host => ssl://smtp.gmail.com

3) SMTP Authentication => True.

4) SMTP Username => Your full Gmail address (e.g. example@gmail.com)

5) SMTP Password => To be used the “application-specific password” created before not the gmail password.

6) SMTP Port => 465

7) When you configure GMail as SMTP server, you need to tell Google to allow your site to use GMail as SMTP.
